Raising the Bar: The Role of the Manager, International Finance Corporation (IFC)

TWG was hired by IFC to design an interactive conversation stimulus for line and HR managers. The goal was for line managers to become better equipped and more comfortable in raising the bar on staff performance, addressing ways for developing different types of performers, and raising awareness on the impact of diversity and multiculturalism on the performance management process.

TWG worked with the corporation’s HR leadership team to design a four-hour workshop that stimulated discussions with intact management teams about how to address the specific performance management challenges described above. The program was rolled out globally and reportedly had a significant impact on managers’ understanding and acceptance of the critical role they play in managing the performance of their staff.
